The Compliance Register
LATEST NEWS FLASH
2010
– A new year and the beginning of a new decade. Having skipped
2009 due to the severe recession, it is time to re-launch The
Compliance Register Platinum Awards® for Outstanding Service to
Compliance and Regulation (“the OStCaRs”) which were first
held in 2004.
Commenting on the re-launch, Ben Goh, Secretary of The Compliance Register, said:- “We
are pleased to re-launch The OStCaRs. The start of a new year and a new
decade is a good time to lay the foundations for future generations.
Firms recovering from the recession need to put excellence at the heart
of their foundations. The re-launch will encourage firms in the right
direction and help sow the seeds of future prosperity. In doing so we
must not forget the less fortunate who have suffered, and will continue
to suffer, disproportionately in the recession. With the support of
industry, we will once again be raising much-needed funds for the
various nominated charities. ”
The
Compliance Register Platinum Awards® will be on 4th November at The
5-Star Savoy Hotel in London which is re-opening following a reported
£150 million refurbishment. As mentioned earlier, we will
be raising funds for various charities, including BBC Children In Need
whilst giving recognition for excellence to firms, teams and
individuals. The Awards will be open to firms, teams and individuals
from the financial services industry.
This event is an exercise in
"people power" as nominations are OPEN to all in our industry - there
are simply no barriers and it does not cost anything to nominate.
Nominations are accepted on a confidential basis so there is no need to be shy! The Awards are determined on merit and merit alone - they are not for sale! Nominations will formally close at 5pm on Friday 8 October.
| Why The Compliance Register Platinum Awards® are different:- NO BORING SPEECHES - whatever can be said in a speech can be better said in a song. Fantastic entertainment featuring legends such as Rick Wakeman, Paul Daniels and Bucks Fizz. For those who prefer something less noisy, we have casino tables complete with Cash Bar in the Parlour Room. So there is something for everyone. Besides recognising excellence, we are also raising funds for various charities and helping the less fortunate in our society. (Most Award events are commercial ventures and do not raise funds for charity.) |
The Compliance Register is
extremely proud to have pioneered the inaugural Awards in September
2004 and each year, continues to raise funds for a number of charities.
With your generosity and
support, we can make this year even more successful than ever. I look
forward to seeing you and your colleagues on 4th November.
